Remember the aforementioned car window problem? Well, only once in the past week has it rained, and before that it had been weeks since it had rained. We are in the middle of a severe drought. That, combined with a late April frost has been really hard on the farmers. Today it actually rained a couple of times, so both times I had to run out and pull the tarp over the car. It was nice to have the rain, but I am sick of dealing with this window problem. I think Mark has finally gotten a clue and has made arrangements to have it fixed tonight or tomorrow.
We went to Sam's today to meet Mark for lunch. The only thing is that the only thing Mark was interested in was signing up for a new cell phone plan. Our 2 year contract with Verizon is up on June 25. The kids and I managed to buy over a $100 worth, which is cheap for Sam's. I am always interested in seeing what is in other people's carts at Sam's. One older man (with a happy grin on his face) had two Sam's club-sized bags of dried prunes. Another lady had about 6 containers of 100 shop towels each and two bottles of hand-santizer. I saw one lady with a microwave and 3 big boxes of tortilla chips. One man only had a 50 pound bag of sugar. I had to laugh when I saw the family with two small children with a box of diapers, a box of wipes, and a big bunch of flowers. Believe me, any woman with two small children deserves all the flowers that anyone wants to give her!
