Ellen is at Nana's this morning. She should be back any minute and then both kids should take a nap. Ellen is very demanding when she is here, so it is nice to just have one child to deal with. Ellen wants me to play with her constantly. John, on the other hand can amuse himself, but he gets into trouble more often than Ellen. So, it's a tradeoff, I guess.
We had our first rainy day in a while yesterday. After the bulk of the rain had passed over, I let the kids go out and ride around the cul-de-sac while I did a little weeding. The ground was finally soft enough that I could pull some weeds out. Mark got busy on the front flower beds last night and somehow a little weeding turned into a massacre of the bushes. He really cut them back--even using a chainsaw for part of it. He still needs to do some shaping, so right now they don't look too good.
I got my car window fixed yesterday.
